How chiropractic care can help with migraines or tension headaches

Headaches can occur differently in different people; some may experience them a few times a month, once a week, a few times a week, and in severe cases daily. These aches are a sign that the body is functioning abnormally and it’s actually quite common in our population. According to several National Headache Societies, it impacts approximately 40% of the population.

So what is the difference between migraines and tension headaches?

Migraines can manifest with tension in the tops of their heads, and a piercing or searing pain in their eye some may have visual disturbances. People experiencing migraines can have sensitivity to light and noise, only to receive mild relief by retreating to a completely dark, quiet room.

Tension headaches, on the other hand, may not be unilateral with pain coming from one side of the head, tension in the back of the head and eye is very common.

Philosophically, what we know is that when, when somebody has a particular symptom, it’s not because their blood levels of Gabapentin are really low the headache is a symptom that something is wrong. What we do as chiropractors is to start by delivering a very gentle non-invasive non-addictive treatment called a chiropractic adjustment.

Chiropractic care can bring your body back in balance, so that the body can get back to regulating, healing, and organizing the way it’s innately supposed to. Routine chiropractic care, not only helps minimize symptoms and pains dramatically but ultimately can resolve the problem for good.
